At university I joined the Warwick Canoe Society! Since then I have gone on several kayaking trips around the UK, all across England, Scotland and Wales. My favourite river has to be Etive, which was full of huge waterfalls and plunges. The river Garry is a close second, with its fast paced rapids. I also took the role of Media Officer within the society for my third year, making regular posts of trips and our socials. This year I am trying out the adjacent sport, Canoe Polo!
I love travelling, constantly filled with the urge to explore. The trip of my lifetime was my Interrail journey I took with my close friends from primary school, journeying across 11 different countries. Some of the highlights had to be Barcelona, Porto, Prague and Budapest! I aim to one day venture across South East Asia and the Mediterranean.
Creative reading and writing is the backbone of my imagination. I love pouring into the pages of fantasy novels, and likewise writing out my own ideas and tales. My drawers are littered with notebooks fulls of worlds, characters and stories.
Whether digital or tabletop, the whole reason I went into computer science was my love of games. I would spend my days drawing concepts for various games and sequels, designing levels and game mechanics. At university I have participated in several Game Jams, with both solo and team projects. They have been incredible opportunities to develop my skills and work with so many amazing people. Additionally I'm an avid fan of Dungeons & Dragons, loving to play as Game Master with campaigns I have designed myself.
